How I can help

I am available to anyone who wants to change and feel better about themselves. I have had many years of experience working with different kinds of emotional and psychological difficulties.

Some people can’t identify what is wrong; they just know they want to change the way they feel and operate within their environment. They may realize they are being harmful to themselves or others. No matter what your concerns, if you feel you cannot cope with your current life situation, call me to get help.

When you call for the first time, I will ask you some questions and propose (or not) an initial appointment. The initial appointment can last an hour to an hour and half. It helps me understand your situation and evaluate what we can do together. I will let you know my impressions and discuss a course of therapy. This initial meeting will be your opportunity to evaluate whether you feel comfortable working and discussing personal issues with me. It is one of the foundations to a good therapeutic relationship.

Therapy ends when you have learned to understand the disbalancing factors affecting your life and feel equipped to deal with the difficulties that brought you to my office.

Can Therapy Help Me?

Therapy can be helpful in different life situation such as:

  • Stress
  • Low self- esteem, self- criticism
  • Depression
  • Generalized anxiety, panic attacks, social anxiety
  • Couple relationship
  • Complex relational issues within the family (children, partners)
  • Life cycle changes: divorce, separation, retirement, loneliness, becoming a parent
  • Eating Disorders
  • Work related concerns
  • Family member suffering from mental health difficulty

How long will therapy take?

It is not productive to have a pre-prescribed number of sessions before an assessment is completed as it all depends on your life situation and what brings you to therapy. The assessment may take several sessions and when it is completed the mandate for working together is discussed, planned and agreed upon.

Furthermore, within this approach, the idea is that therapy does not just happen within the sessions but also between the sessions, and therefore depending on the kind of difficulties experienced, the sessions are planned. However, the length of the therapeutic process can be between 8 to 15 sessions and not always on a weekly basis.

Sessions normally last for an hour.
